NECKLACE LENGTH - INSTRUCTIONS
The length of a necklace chain is influenced by a person's size, the clothes they wear, and personal preference. The lengths of pendant chains for adults range from 41 to 61 cm.
The most common lengths of pendant chains are:
- Women: 46 and 51 cm.
- Men: 51 and 56 cm.
- Youth: 41 and 46 cm.
- Children: 36 and 41 cm.
As people age, it is very common for the circumference of the neck to increase slightly. In this way, it is quite reasonable to add 5 cm to the lengths mentioned above. A common method is also to measure the neck circumference and add 5 to 10 cm.
The lengths of the necklaces are usually in increments of 5 cm. An additional 5 cm in length means that the chain drops 2.5 cm lower - not 5 cm lower.
Necklace lengths on a person
The accompanying image provides guidance on how different lengths of chains fit on a person wearing size 38-40.
Note! The chains do not have a pendant, so with a pendant, the chain will drop 2-3 cm lower.
There are no absolute rules regarding chain length; personal preference plays a significant role. Most often, young people prefer short chains, while older individuals tend to favor longer ones. However, a chain that is too long can make it difficult for the pendant to sit correctly, so it's advisable to avoid excessively long chains.
