The Spiga necklace, which is quite popular in Southern Europe, is somewhat less known to us Finns. It's a shame, as this is one of the most beautiful types of chains, if not the most beautiful.
The spike could be described as being shaped like a wheat ear. The Spiga is made up of tightly woven links shaped like an octagon or a droplet. As a result, a highly three-dimensional, strong, and elegant chain is created. They describe it as a three-dimensional version of a tank track, but Spiga is even more.
The thin version Spiga is suitable for most small or medium pendants. The thickest Spigats are usually held without a pendant; they are true eye-catchers.
Width 1.3 mm. 375 gold (9k). It is good to note that in a Spiga chain of the same width, there is about twice as much gold compared to, for example, a curb chain.
Available in three different lengths:
- 46 cm (women's standard length)
- 51 cm (women's slightly longer model)
- 56 cm (women's long model)
Made in Italy. Italy is the most esteemed country for the production of silver and gold chains, where both centuries-old craftsmanship and modern manufacturing techniques are utilized.
